March 20, 2022The Key to The Blessed Life:
“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” ACTS 20:35
“500 verses in the Bible concerning prayer, nearly 500 verses about faith, but more than 2000 verses on money and possessions. Jesus talked about money in 16 of his 38 parables.” ROBERT MORRIS
We’re all natural born and we
can all be supernatural born-again
DEUTERONOMY 15:4-11
4However, there need be no poor people among you, for in the land the Lord your God is giving you to possess as your inheritance, he will richly bless you, 5if only you fully obey the Lord your God and are careful to follow all these commands I am giving you today. 6For the Lord your God will bless you as he has promised, and you will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. You will rule over many nations but none will rule over you.
7If anyone is poor among your fellow Israelites in any of the towns of the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward them. 8Rather, be openhanded and freely lend them whatever they need. 9Be careful not to harbor this wicked thought: “The seventh year, the year for canceling debts, is near,” so that you do not show ill will toward the needy among your fellow Israelites and give them nothing. They may then appeal to the Lord against you, and you will be found guilty of sin. 10Give generously to them and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to. 11There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your fellow Israelites who are poor and needy in your land.
THE JOURNEY THAT
CHANGES EVERYTHING
STEP 1 – Deal with a
“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” MATTHEW 7:1-2
“Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” LUKE 6:37-38
It’s never about the –
It’s about the
Generosity is not God’s way of raising –
but it’s his way of raising
STEP 2 – Deal with a
“You shall generously give to him, and your heart shall not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in all your undertakings.” DEUTERONOMY 15:10 NASB
attacks us before we give –
attacks us after we give
STEP 3 – Develop a
“Supply them liberally from your flock, your threshing floor and your winepress. Give to them as the Lord your God has blessed you.” DEUTERONOMY 15:14
“Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. Do to others as you would have them do to you. If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full. But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.” LUKE 6:30-35

STEP 4 – Develop a
“Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and the Lord your God redeemed you. That is why I give you this command today.”DEUTERONOMY 15:15
